VIDEO: UNSCRIPTED TOM WOLF ONCE AGAIN CONTRADICTS SCRIPTED TOM WOLF

HARRISBURG, PAThe Corbett-Cawley campaign today released a web video that shows Tom Wolf in an interview once again contradicting the Tom Wolf portrayed in his television commercials. Wolf’s campaign commercials suggest that natural gas companies in Pennsylvania do not pay any taxes, despite paying over $2.2 billion in taxes since 2008 and $636 million in a local impact fee since 2011.

"It's nice to see that Tom Wolf disagrees with Tom Wolf's campaign commercials yet again," stated Communications Director Chris Pack. "Tom Wolf's once again is demonstrating that he is willing to say or do anything to fulfill his longstanding political ambition to become governor – including repeatedly contradicting himself. The truth is that Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry has paid over $2.2 billion in taxes and another $636 million from a local impact fee, no matter how much Wolf’s political consultants try to spin it the other way in Wolf’s ads paid for by the Harrisburg special interests.”

Wolf has a history of contradicting what he says in his television commercials. Despite a promise not to run negative ads, Wolf launched an attack ad against Governor Corbett for his work in passing a bipartisan transportation bill that created 50,000 new middle class jobs and preserved an additional 12,000. The ad was launched less than 24 hours after praising the governor’s leadership in getting the bill passed. The ad falsely states that gas prices went through the roof, even though gas prices are at a four-year low.
