HARRISBURG, PA – The Corbett-Cawley campaign today drew attention to more confusing hypocrisy courtesy of millionaire Secretary Tom Wolf. The latest hypocrisy comes at the hands of Wolf's latest television ad, where he attacks the bipartisan transportation bill signed into law by Governor Tom Corbett that is estimated to create 50,000 middle class jobs and preserve an additional 12,000 jobs. Earlier this week, Wolf praised Corbett’s leadership in getting the bill signed into law.

HARRISBURG, PA – As the first installment in the “Millionaire Secretary Tom Wolf Hypocrisy Tour,” the Corbett-Cawley campaign today exposed the hypocrisy surrounding Secretary Tom Wolf’s income tax hike proposal. Wolf justifies the income tax proposal by saying wealthy Pennsylvanians should be paying more in taxes, but Wolf’s own tax returns show that on average, he pays a considerably lower tax rate than the average taxpayer.

“Millionaire Secretary Tom Wolf and his PA False Start cronies are proudly advocating for the elimination of Governor Tom Corbett’s local impact fee that has provided over $630 million from the natural gas industry to local municipalities for vital projects such as sewage systems, public safety, parks, tax reductions and regional planning. Secretary Tom Wolf wants to replace the local impact fee with a severance tax that would instead pump that money into Harrisburg’s coffers so that he can continue refusing to address our pension crisis to appease the public sector unions who have already given Wolf $1.13 million in donations to keep quiet. Mr. King says it best when he says that if you get somebody in office that wants to do the severance tax, counties that are affected are going to see a lot less money. Our local communities just can’t afford the tax-and-spend policies of millionaire Secretary Tom Wolf.

"It's very simple - millionaire Secretary Tom Wolf is a hypocrite who is trying to deceive the 12.7 million people of Pennsylvania through his fancy campaign ads. Even business experts agree that the only reason for Wolf to keep his company in Delaware is to avoid paying his fair share of Pennsylvania taxes as he simultaneously calls for higher taxes on other Pennsylvania businesses. Wolf needs to just go ahead and release his corporate taxes from 2006 to 2014 like he said he would and put this issue to rest."
