Gas heating prices another dividend of drilling boom

About two-thirds of the Pennsylvanians who heat their homes with natural gas are paying the lowest December prices they've paid in a decade.
For example, a Peco customer is looking at savings on winter months bills of at least $3 a month.
Count that as another dividend for the state being in the heart of the natural gas drilling boom.
The industry makes a convenient whipping boy for anyone wanting to make points to certain political bases. But what gets easily shoved under the rug are the inherent economic and consumer advantages to having the industry in our state.
