Pennsylvania had the most new plants or plant expansions in the Northeast during 2013, Site Selection magazine said Monday.
With 348 new or expanded plants, Pennsylvania also ranked fourth in the nation, trailing only Texas (657), Ohio (480) and Illinois (383).
On a per capita basis, Nebraska had the most projects, at 109, according to the magazine.
To be counted by the magazine, a project must involve an investment of at least $1 million, create at least 50 new jobs or add at least 20,000 square feet. Excluded are retail, government, hospital and school projects.
