Freight brokerage firm Total Quality Logistics LLC has opened an office in Pittsburgh, creating 75 jobs, Gov. Tom Corbett’s office announced Friday.
TQL leased 6,900 square feet of office space in Station Square on the South Side and committed to creating 75 jobs within three years. The company received state funding offers of $63,750 for workforce training, $75,000 to facilitate investment and job creation and $75,000 in job creation tax credits. TQL has accepted the funding proposal from the state, but must apply for each loan and grant and agree to terms prior to the award.
TQL is the nation’s second-largest freight brokerage firm. The company specializes in arranging the transportation truckload shipments for companies in various industries.
