Pride and leadership, the hallmarks of the Corbett administration…the words of Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley in Lewisburg Monday night. At the Susquehanna Valley Conservatives meeting Monday evening near Lewisburg, Cawley spoke to the crowd of local conservatives about job creation under Corbett’s administration:
Lt.Governor Cawley spoke to the crowd of local conservatives about the progress Corbett’s administration has made throughout the state, ” We are very proud of what we were able to achieve so far, working with the private sector we have been able to partner with them to create over 150,000 new jobs.”
He said, “Unemployment in this state has dipped down to 6.4 percent. So, the Governor and I want to continue to work to make sure that every Pennsylvanian who wants a job can find a job, and that that job is a family sustaining job.”
As well as being Lt. Governor, Cawley also serves as the President of the Senate, Chair of the Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission, and oversees the Board of Pardons for the state.
After the presentation the crowd had a chance to voice their question to Cawley. Cawley spoke about how these concerns compare to the concerns of fellow Pennsylvanians’, ” I hear a lot of the same things, that people are looking for leadership the sort of leadership that Governor Corbett has been able to provide in areas like partnering with the private sector to create jobs. ”
The Susquehanna Valley Conservatives support conservative principles and provides area conservatives and the general public with education and information regarding issues at the local, state, and national levels.
