Corbett-Cawley Campaign Statement on Democratic Gubernatorial Forum
Democratic Candidates Offer Same “Higher Taxes, More Spending” Solutions
HARRISBURG, PA – Corbett-Cawley Campaign Manager Mike Barley released the following statement on today’s “Growing the Economy in Pennsylvania” gubernatorial forum:
"Our Democratic opponents are no less predictable than the sun rising in the morning. They continue to lob the same old tired rhetoric and lies, criticizing the Governor for standing with taxpayers instead of implementing their ideas for a failed agenda that raises taxes, increases wasteful government spending, kills the energy industry, reduces accountability, scales back reforms that are saving tax dollars, kicks the can down the road on Pennsylvania’s pension problem, keeps the antiquated liquor system that discourages choice and convenience, implements the unsustainable and failing Obamacare plan and turns Pennsylvania down the road to fiscal ruin."
“Judging by all the empty seats at today’s forum, it is clear that our opponents, led by extreme liberal Allyson Schwartz, are not generating any enthusiasm for their campaigns to import the failed big government agenda of the Obama administration to Harrisburg.”
