Corbett Twitter Team

Twitter is a powerful social networking site that will play an important role in the Tom Corbett for Governor campaign. With Twitter, you can share your thoughts and news items about Attorney General Corbett, as well as interact directly with the campaign and other supporters.

We’re looking for Twitter Team Leaders for Tom Corbett who will be responsible for helping the campaign get Tom Corbett’s message out and engage supporters on Twitter on a daily basis. Twitter Team Leaders will receive insider information about the campaign’s social networking strategy and be asked to help the campaign find and engage supporters.

To become a Twitter Team Leader first, follow us on Twitter if you haven't already, then wait for us to follow you back and send us a Direct Message by clicking here or typing "D @corbettforgov I want to be a twitter team leader!" into your status update.

Joining Twitter only takes a few minutes. If you are not on Twitter, follow these simple steps to join:

  1. Go to http://twitter.com. There will be a yellow “sign up now” button on the right hand side. Click that to join.
  2. You will be asked to choose a username. We suggest using your full, real name so that your friends and family will be able to easily identify you. Twitter will tell you if the username you have selected is available.
  3. After filling out the sign up form, click on the “create my account” button at the bottom of the page.
  4. You will then be taken to a page where you can use your Gmail, Yahoo mail or AOL mail account to find your friends who are already on Twitter. Twitter will also suggest some popular Twitterers for you to follow.
  5. After that, you’re ready to start tweeting!
