Tom Takes the First Debate

During tonight's debate Tom Corbett gave the voters of Pennsylvania direct answers to their pressing questions.  He reiterated his firm commitment to keeping taxes low, cutting Harrisburg spending and creating the right environment in Pennsylvania for jobs to grow.  From his support for tort reform to his opposition to the Marcellus Shale severance tax Tom told voters tonight why he has the right plan to rebuild Pennsylvania.  

On the other hand, Dan Onorato reiterated his commitment not to sign a no new tax pledge, failing to relieve the pressure and burden on Pennsylvania taxpayers.  And he reminded voters of his reliance on smoke and mirrors and phantom revenues from hospitals and universities to balance Allegheny County budgets.  He failed to commit to meaningful tort reform which would increase health care costs and continue to drive jobs out of the state.   

Tonight Tom made it clear that he is the best choice for Governor and the only candidate who will put Pennsylvania taxpayers first.
