Last night's campaigning featured a candidate's forum sponsored by the United Way focusing on workforce and economic issues. The format included testimonials and questions from citizens who had personal experience with challenges and successes of Pennsylvania's jobs climate, an added feature that served to truly personalize the event.
Tom reinforced many of the economic principles he has been talking about during his travels statewide and that can be found in his plan for job growth and economic revitalization. He spoke passionately about his faith in the Pennsylvania workforce and his commitment to grow job opportunity. Tom specifically highlighted his support for re-engaging children and adults who have dropped out of school, addressing workforce literacy challenges, increasing opportunities for access to higher education and partnering with employers to ensure Pennsylania's youth are trained for the jobs of today, aligning education with job opportunity.
Pictures to come later today, and if you're up for it the re-broadcast can be seen onPCN(or streamed from their website) at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning!
