SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett held a rally in his hometown of Shaler Township on Friday to gather supporters for his campaign for governor.
The Republican candidate for governor has been traveling around the state to talk about his plan to increase the economic climate and create more jobs in Pennsylvania.
During his campaign trail, he made a stop at the Shaler North Hills Library to talk to residents of the community that he lived in since he was 7 years old.
At the time, Corbett was leading in the polls but he said he's not taking comfort in the numbers.
"I always run as if I'm behind because we have a 1.2 million person deficit Democrat to Republican. So, I understand I have to work to get all Republicans to vote for me, independents and discerning Democrats to vote for me," said Corbett.
His Democratic opponent, Dan Onorato had to take time off the campaign trail on Friday to focus on his duties as the Allegheny County Chief Executive.
