PITTSTON TWP. - Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett capped off a busy round of appearances in Northeast Pennsylvania with a tour of the Home Depot Rapid Deployment Center in the CenterPoint Commerce and Trade Park West Monday morning.
Earlier in the day he spoke at a Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber breakfast, and on Sunday he was at the Pennsylvania 500 NASCAR race at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond shaking hands with fans and appearing on stage to greet drivers. On Saturday, he attended a fundraising dinner at Pocono Manor Inn and worked the crowds at the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.'s carnival in Mount Pocono.
The Republican candidate, who will face Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato in the general election on Nov. 2, will be back in the region later this week with stops at the Triton Hose Fire Company Festival and Parade in Tunkhannock on Thursday and the Wayne County Fair near Honesdale Friday.
At his stop at the Home Depot, Corbett discussed his plan for job creation and growth, according to a campaign release.
