Promising to "turn on the power of Pennsylvania," Attorney General Tom Corbett tonight announced his candidacy for governor before several hundred supporters at the Heinz History Center.
In his announcement speech, the Republican promised to end the form of legislative pork barrel known as "Wams," or walking around money.
Denouncing the stalled spending talks in Harrisburg, he also called for a Constitutional amendment to create a two-year budget cycle for the state.
Also seeking the GOP nomination is Rep. Jim Gerlach, R-Chester County.
