Trying to win over voters, Attorney General Tom Corbett made a stop in the Alleghenies Wednesday.

Corbet met first at Wire Technologies in Johnstown. His next stop was the McLanahan Corporation in Hollidaysburg.

Corbett expressed his discontent over the budget impasse. He even suggested a two year budget if he wins the GOP gubernatorial nomination in May.

The attorney general also said, as the fifth largest state, Pennsylvania has various resources that should bring people into the state and he wants to bring new business to the area.

But Corbett says he knows a lot of work still needs to be done.

"We haven't seen a net growth in my opinion, at least no in sustaining good family jobs," Corbett said. "Proving the business climate is important but before you can even get to that, you have to get the spending under control."

At this point, Corbett will face U.S. Congressman Jim Gerlach for the GOP nomination in May.
