HARRISBURG– Attorney General and Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett received the endorsement from Pennsylvania’s largest law enforcement advocacy organization, the Pennsylvania State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police.
The Pennsylvania Lodge has 41,000 active and retired members. In giving their support, Pennsylvania Lodge President Les Neri stated that Corbett has a proven record of working with law enforcement.
”No one understands what it takes to keep Pennsylvania safe better than Tom Corbett,” Neri said. “As both a United States attorney and now Attorney General, Tom has been a tremendous ally to police officers all across Pennsylvania. His record in fighting crime and corruption is unparalleled. We look forward to working with him for the next four years as our governor.”
“I am humbled by the continued support I have received to become Pennsylvania’s next Governor based upon my record of leadership and my vision for our Commonwealth,” said Corbett. “Law enforcement officers put their lives at risk every day protecting all of us. It is because of that, I have a profound sense of appreciation of the endorsement. I have worked closely with the Pennsylvania Lodge during my tenure as Attorney General and look forward to doing so as Governor.”
