Harrisburg– Today, Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett announced the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association has unanimously endorsed him for the Primary Election.

The PSTA represents over 8,000 active and retired State Troopers.  In giving their support, PSTA President Bruce Edwards expressed his eagerness to continue partnering with Corbett in order to provide Pennsylvania’s citizens with the safest environment possible to live, work and raise a family.

“Tom Corbett’s leadership qualities, experience and consistent support of the State Police and all law enforcement officers are the reasons we feel he is the most qualified candidate to serve as our next Governor of Pennsylvania,” Edwards said. “It is our honor to be associated with such a distinguished public servant.”

“I am humbled and honored by the continued support I have received in my campaign for Governor based upon my record of leadership and my vision for our Commonwealth,” said Corbett.

Corbett continued, “Law enforcement officers place their lives at risk every day protecting all of us.  It is because of that, I have a profound sense of appreciation of the endorsement.  I have worked closely with President Edwards and the PSTA during my tenure as Attorney General and look forward to doing so as the next Governor.”
