With the primary election behind us, we look toward November with our eyes wide open to the challenge that lies ahead.  In our democratic opponent we have a career politician whose proposals will subject our state to a third term of Ed Rendell and continue to lead us down a path of big government, increased taxation, record high job losses and the resultant increase in unemployment.

Our election celebration is getting full, good food and great company all around.

The support Tom received yesterday across the state during rally after rally is electrifying.  Voters are ready for change and they are ready to start taking steps toward a more stable and prosperous Pennsylvania.  We are humbled that so many Pennsylvanians came out to support Tom's campaign, and his plans for the future of our state.

Tomorrow Tom is embarking on a seven city barnstorming tour, meeting with supporters and spreading his message of a greater Pennsylvania.  We’re expecting great weather, big crowds and words of encouragement from Tom as we hit the road running in the last day before the primary. 

In the latest Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday, just 5 days before the primary election, Tom continues to hold a commanding 57-14% lead over his opponent. The poll also shows that as Republican voters continue to get to know Tom and his plans for Pennsylvania they have an overwhelmingly favorable response.

Over the past two weeks Tom has also received endorsements from 5 of Pennsylvania's largest newspapers including The Pittsburgh Tribune Review, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Patriot News in Harrisburg, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News.

Tom Corbett picked up another newspaper endorsement today, from the Patriot News in Harrisburg.  They praised Tom's record as a fighter and a doer as Attorney General who isn't afriad to take on the tough challenges and work with others to get things done.  They also agreed with Tom's transportation funding proposals and gave highlight to his innovative state budget ideas.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's education endorsement from Jeb Bush, Tom today received endorsement for his gubernatorial campaign from former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.

During a visit to Philadelphia today, Newt Gingrich announced his endorsement of Tom Corbett for Governor via video.  Gingrich cited Tom's proven record of courage and tenacity as the best choice for reform in Harrisburg, and putting Pennsylvania's economy back on track.  

Yesterday during an event at Lincoln Marshall Charter School in York Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida endorsed Tom Corbett's Education Policy.  Governor Bush is held as a national expert on education issues after having reformed the achievement levels of Florida schools during his administration.
