With only 99 days to go until the May 18th Republican Party Primary, Tom Corbett’s efforts to become the next Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have been quickly gaining momentum. In just the last 10 days, Tom Corbett has won the straw votes of the Northwest, Southwest, and Northeast Republican caucuses and received the endorsement of Hazelton Mayor and candidate for Pennsylvania’s 11th Congressional district, Lou Barletta.

This morning, Tom had the opportunity to address the Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute at their 19th Annual Conference.  Before Tom addressed the attendees, he spent time talking to them one on one.  One of the gentlemen he spoke with showed him a copy of the Pennsylvania Fireman with Tom’s picture in it from last year’s conference.  He went on to thank Attorney General Corbett for always attending their events and for his commitment to public safety.

Attorney General Corbett visited Clarion County on Saturday, October 3, 2009 for a meet and greet breakfast and Clarion’s annual Autumn Leaf Festival Parade.

As part of his announcement tour, Tom will be visiting major manufacturing companies in Pennsylvania to talk with the management and employees. This will allow him to learn more about the challenges they face and how the state government can better help to power up Pennsylvania.
