Tom Visits Johnstown Wire Technologies
As part of his announcement tour, Tom will be visiting major manufacturing companies in Pennsylvania to talk with the management and employees. This will allow him to learn more about the challenges they face and how the state government can better help to power up Pennsylvania.
Tom had the opportunity to visit Johnstown Wire Technologies, which is the largest producer of value added carbon and alloy wire in North America. They produce wire that is later turned into bolts, cables and other small metal that is used for construction purposes.
He met with management and administrative staff and talked about the history of the company and what they do. The plant did not stop production while Tom was there, so he was able to see first hand what goes in during the wire manufacturing process. He was also able to look at products that had been made with wire produced by Johnstown Wire Technologies, like Brillo pads.
After talking with the management, Tom went on a tour of the factory and was able to talk with the hard-working employees of the company. This one manufacturing company alone employs 260 people and it is important that Pennsylvania enacts policies that will keep these jobs here and start creating more jobs in Pennsylvania.
Tom realizes that the state government must act quickly to power up Pennsylvania and get its economy back on track. Please invite your friends to sign up to support Tom Corbett for governor today.
