A Day to Remember

Nine years ago, the American people experienced the shocking events of September 11^th.  Today we remember the Americans who lost their lives that day and our hearts go out to their family and friends. 

We are reminded of the solidarity and resolve we all gained during that time from watching the brave and heroic efforts of police, firemen, emergency crews, and everyday citizens who came from all over to help.  I salute their sacrifice and commend our service men and women who today carry that mantle throughout the world protecting our country and our freedoms. 

For me this is a day to cherish family and loved ones and remember the strength of our country and the resilience of our people.
